What I’m Spinnin’ : Among Savages - One morning, I noticed this new record blowing up on my facebook timeline, so I decided to check it out. I was blown away by the songwriting, sonic perfection, and production prowess of this project.
Whilst having lunch with mix engineer Craig Alvin later that day, he mentioned local artist Peter Barbee’s new project that he had just mixed and how amazing it was. We returned to his studio for a listen, and I was amazed to find that it was the record I had been freaking out about just hours before. After a listen in the very seat where it was mixed, I decided, “This is some of the best stuff to come out of this town in a while”. And now I’m telling you. It’s a must have.
